Terms of Service.

1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of thesovia.in and any service you commission from us. By contacting us, placing an order, or using the website, you agree to these terms.

2. Nature of service

The Sovia is a private, by-appointment fashion service. We do not operate a public storefront, marketplace, or ecommerce platform. All transactions occur after a personal conversation, typically on WhatsApp.

3. Pricing and quotes

Prices are quoted individually for each piece, in writing, before any work begins. Quoted prices include GST as applicable. International orders may incur customs, duties, and import taxes payable by the recipient.

4. Payment terms

• Ready pieces: full payment before dispatch
• 48-hour designer blouses: full payment before stitching begins
• Custom pieces: 50% advance before sketching, 50% before shipping
• Accepted methods: NEFT, IMPS, UPI, international card (via secure invoice link)

5. Cancellations

• Ready piece orders: cancellable within 6 hours of payment, full refund
• Designer blouse orders: cancellable before stitching begins (within ~4 hours of confirmation)
• Custom orders: cancellable before sketches are approved; once stitching begins, the order is non-cancellable

6. Returns and alterations

• Ready pieces: returnable within 7 days of receipt, unworn, with tags
• Custom and made-to-measure pieces: non-returnable, as they are made specifically for you
• Free alterations offered within 30 days of delivery for any made-to-measure piece that requires adjustment

7. Delivery

Domestic India: 2–4 working days for ready and blouse-stitch; 3–6 weeks for custom. International: 4–7 working days via DHL or FedEx after dispatch. The Sovia is not responsible for delays caused by customs clearance, weather, or courier service disruptions.

8. Intellectual property

All photographs, text, designs, and content on thesovia.in are the property of The Sovia. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use them commercially without written permission. Custom pieces commissioned for you are yours — but designs created during the process remain the intellectual property of The Sovia and may not be reproduced by third parties.

9. Limitation of liability

The Sovia's liability for any single order is limited to the value of that order. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra.
